The Access Control module forms the basis of every Time & Space system. It maintains a common database containing data about users, badges, access points, access rights and collected logs. It provides the application framework for accommodating other higher level and add-on software modules, such as visitor management, visual monitoring, alarm management and video integration. Time management modules can also be regarded as add-ons, as they rely upon the same fundamental data set as other add-on instances.
The Access Control module provides industry standard access control functions by maintaining a set of personal access profiles that contain specific information on who may enter where and when.
The Access Control module features a simple attendance calculation model called Paid Time. By using a set of configurable working intervals (e.g. all weekdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm excluding Sundays), Paid Time can track hours worked by interns, part time / freelance staff or subcontractors. Any number of working intervals can be configured.
